The New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center is offering an exciting, free event coming your way this month in Downtown New Bedford. The 2018 Seafood Throwdown is happening Thursday, August 23 at 5:30 pm at Custom House Square. Heritage Center Director Laura Orleans has details on this week's Townsquare Sunday. The fun-filled event features two acclaimed chefs battling to create a tasty meal using underutilized species of seafood. Laura says it’s an opportunity to learn more about local seafood, and perhaps sample the finished product!
