School violence sends more than 90-thousand students to the emergency room every year.

A new study by the journal "Pediatrics" shows children are still being seriously injured at school despite increasing efforts to curb violence and secure campuses.

Cuts and bruises are among the most commonly treated injuries, but more than a tenth suffer fractures.

Ten percent of school children sent to the ER are treated brain injuries.  (Metro Networks Inc.)
