School Officials To Upgrade Equipment, Services At NBHS

Steps are being taken at New Bedford High School to improve educational attainment there. 

Supt. Dr. Pia Durkin told the School Committee Monday night, the district has secured 200 surplus computers from Greater New Bedford Voke Tech High School. 

And Dr. Durkin announced after  a meeting with students, she planned to reopen a media center at the High School.

The Superintendent also announced she was pleased with the feedback so far in the "Your Voice Matters" section of the school department website. 

The section enables parents, teachers, administrators and students to ask questions about the school department, and get a response from the people involved.  The service is also available in portuguese and spanish.
