School Bus Crash in Lakeville

Lakeville Police say a bus driver has been taken to the hospital after the school bus the driver was operating crashed head-on into a tree on Pickens Street in Lakeville just after 4 p.m. Thursday.

Police say four students from the Assawompset Elementary School were treated by first responders and released to their parents.

The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. His condition is unknown.

The crash remains under investigation by Lakeville Police, with assistance from Mass. State Police and the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department.
