There's a proposal to crack down on stupid and clueless drivers who don't stop for a school bus with its lights flashing and a STOP sign extended. Beacon Hill Legislators are considering a bill that would give cities the authority to put cameras on the arms of school buses to video motorists who ignore the law. How much would these cameras cost the taxpayer? Not a cent! But the best part is the city will actually make money with this law! Let's see, the kids are safeguarded, it's kind to taxpayers, it penalizes el stupido and the city makes a profit, to boot? Bring it on! This program has been tested in Rhode Island since 2009.
