Sal DiMasi Loses Bid For Appeal

Former House Speaker Sal DiMasi has been blocked for the final time in his bid to have his corruption conviction overturned. Monday the US Supreme Court declined to hear the Democrat's appeal. In 2011 DiMasi was convicted of steering work to a Canadian software company in exchange for a kickback. The once powerful politician languishes in federal prison with late-stage throat and tongue cancer.
