Sabra Dipping Company has issued a recall on some of its hummus and spreads because of possible listeria contamination.

According to WHDH 7, consumers are advised to discard any product with a "best before" date through Jan. 23, 2017.

"Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems."
