After the events that took place earlier this week involving former Rutgers basketball coach Mike Rice, the University has parted ways with AD Tim Pernetti as well.

According to ESPN, Pernetti is out of a job. Right now it’s not clear if Pernetti was fired, or if he resigned due to the events. Basketball coach Mike Rice was fired on Wednesday after the controversial video tape surfaced.

After that, many called for the firing of the athletic director, after it was discovered that the University knew about these incidents and only gave the coach a suspension. ESPN reporter Brett McMurphy says that the Rutgers president could also see repercussions.
