The elderly man shown in video footage being literally blown off his feet near the finish line of the Boston Marathon says he escaped with only a scratch on his leg.

Seventy-eight-year-old Bill Iffrig told CNN's "Piers Morgan Live" that he felt the explosion alongside him as he ran toward the finish.

He says he knew he was going to fall, but the only injury he could find when he rolled over was a scratch on his leg. Iffrig says a marathon official came over to where he was laying and offered to help him up so he could finish the race. After being looked at by medical officials, he was allowed to leave the finish area under his own power to head to his hotel.
