For the second time in ten days, New Bedford firefighters respond to Rodney Metals on East Rodney French Boulevard to douse a fire on the building's roof.

Crews responded about 1:45 Saturday afternoon.  District Chief James Clark tells WBSM News, exhaust from a boiler pushed through ductwork, and is igniting flamable material on the roof.  According to Clark, that exhaust can sometimes reach a temperature of two-thousand degrees.

Two aerial ladder trucks were called in to put out the fire.  Crews were on scene for about an hour, and no one was hurt.

Clark says the company is working with the Fire Prevention Bureau to find a solution.
