The 22nd annual Rockathon Friday at Kennedy Donovan Center in New Bedford brought together parents, students and staff members, all with the same purpose.

They were raising money for programs that assist children and adults facing physical and intellectual challenges.

Carl Bryant of Fall River was rocking to raise money for Kennedy Donovan. His 17 year old son Brenden has been a student at Kennedy Donovan for 12 years.

"They've done more for him than anybody as far as schools and that type of atmosphere," said Bryant. "He goes to school here 50 weeks a year and he's very happy and content here." he added. Bryantt says Kennedy Donovan is the best place Brenden has ever been.

Organizers hope the Rockathon will raise about $5,000 to suppliment programs at the Center.
