
Robert Kraft Says Patriots Tried To Re-Sign Wes Welker
Patriots owner Robert Kraft says the team did everything it could to try and re-sign wide receiver Wes Welker. Speaking at the NFL Owners meetings in Phoenix, Kraft said they offered him a very fair, above market value deal, but it didn't work out. Welker wound up signing a two-year, $12 million contract with the Denver Broncos instead.
