Along with Juian Edelman, who left Tuesday's joint practice with the New Orleans Saints with a foot injury, the New England Patriots saw defensive end Rob Ninkovich leave early with an injury.

Ninkovich left the joint session, with the aid of a trainer, after appearing to injure his triceps during individual drills.

According to a report from Ryan Hannable of WEEI, Ninkovich is undergoing an MRI to try and determine the extend of the injury.

Ninkovich has been a versatile member of the team's front seven for the past several seasons. An extended time out for the 32-year-old could force both backup defensive ends and outside linebackers to step up.
