The firing this week of FBI Director James Comey makes perfect sense.  Comey was a villain to Republicans and Democrats alike.  At one point or another over the course of the last year both sides thought that perhaps he needed to go.

Even though there appeared to be widespread support for Comey's replacement prior to it actually happening, the reaction was pretty much what you might expect in this politically charged environment.

So, how do Massachusetts Democrats feel about the firing?  I spoke with a member of the Massachusetts Democrat State Committee, Keri Rodrigues to find out.  It is her view that Comey was fired in an effort to derail an FBI investigation into alleged ties between the Trump team and Russia.  Rodrigues demands a special prosecutor be appointed to investigate further.
