ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP) — A Rhode Island man has pleaded guilty to secretly taking cellphone video of a woman trying on bathing suits in the dressing room of a Massachusetts department store.

Sheldon Fulbeck was sentenced to one year in jail with 60 days to serve on Monday after pleading guilty to charges of wiretapping and photographing an unsuspecting person in the nude. He's thought to be the first person charged under the state's revised "upskirting" law.

Prosecutors say the 40-year-old Lincoln man went into the dressing room at the North Attleborough Target in March 2014 and videotaped the 24-year-old woman before she saw the phone at the bottom of the dressing room divider.

Fulbeck's attorney said her client is attending therapy and has taken responsibility for his actions.
