Reports started circulating this evening that New England Patriots starting defensive end Chandler Jones sought medical attention early Sunday morning.

According to a Boston Herald report, Jones showed up to the Foxboro Police Department at 7:42 in the morning Sunday, with a medical emergency.

From there, records show that the defensive star was taken to nearby Norwood Hospital, where he was treated for what was known as an undisclosed medial reason.

Newer reports, broken by Chris Curtis of the Dennis & Callahan Show, indicate that Jones sought medical attention for an apparent overdose.

It is still unclear what substance caused the apparent overdose, but depending on what it is Jones could be dealing with a possible suspension or entry into the league's substance abuse program.

Despite the medical treatment on Sunday, Jones was present for and participated in both Monday and today's practices. It appears that unless he ingested a PED-type substance, he should be good to go for Saturday's divisional round game.
