As the NBA Finals continue to wind down, the Boston Celtics are working to get themselves in position for the league's free agency period.

According to a CSNNE.com report, Celtics GM Danny Ainge has been using the past week as a chance to meet with the agent that represent to Finals participants, Cleveland's Kevin Love and Golden State's Harrison Barnes.

CSNNE's report, which credits RealGM.com's Andrew Perna, acknowledges that Ainge took time this week to meet with Jeff Shwartz in New York City.

Connections between the C's and Love's camp are nothing new, as Boston has long had the big man on their radar. Though he was once considered one of the top players in the game and was a nightly lock for a double-double, Love has somewhat lost his way since being traded to the Cavs for 2014 number one pick Andrew Wiggins.

Regardless of whether or not Cleveland overcomes a three games to one deficit to win the Finals this season, a change of scenery for the seven year vet may be just what the doctor ordered.

As for Barnes, his rookie deal expires after the season. Playing with the defending champion Warriors, Barnes has played well in increased roles each year. In fact the fourth year pro has seen his minutes, scoring and assists steadily climb throughout his young career.

Both guys will likely look to sign big money deals this offseason.
