NEW BEDFORD — A New Bedford man was arrested Tuesday as part of an investigation into an oxycodone distribution service being operated out of a West End residence.

The New Bedford Police narcotics unit arrested 37-year-old Jose Corcino-Lopez of 127 Summit Street in New Bedford Tuesday as part of an investigation into an oxycodone distribution service being operated out of that address.

Members of the narcotics unit found 50 oxycodone tablets in the residence and on Corcino-Lopez' person. A total of $13,286 was also located.

He was arrested on charges of possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, and possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, subsequent offense. He was previously found guilty December 3, 2014 of distributing a Class B substance.

Corcino-Lopez was arraigned at Third District Court, where bail was set at $1,500. He made bail and was released. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for April 20.
