from WCVB - Rep. Chris Markey of Dartmouth

There will be no complaint issued in an assault case involving State Rep. Chris Markey of Dartmouth and another man.

Back in March, Markey claimed he was assaulted outside the Cushman School by David Oliveira of Dartmouth who was reportedly upset because he didn't get a state job.  Markey spent a day in the hospital being treated for his injuries.

A Clerk Magistrate in Fall River District Court ruled Wednesday there was probable cause to have a criminal charge filed, but Markey tells WBSM News, he reached a private agreement with Oliveira and the case will go away.....

Markey declined to release details of the private agreement, but he did say the agreement was in the best interest of himself, Mr. Oliveira, and the people of Dartmouth.
