Washington Redskins GM Bruce Allen is responding to today's ruling that upholds a cancellation of the team's trademark.

Allen says, "We look forward to winning on appeal after a fair and impartial review of the case." He went on to say, "We are convinced that we will win because the facts and law are on the side of our franchise."

A federal judge today upheld a previous ruling by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that tossed six trademarks that might disparage Native Americans.

A canceled trademark means the team wouldn't have protection against the sale or import of counterfeit goods, but they can still use the Redskins name.  (Metro Network Inc))
