It's been an uphill battle for Boston Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine, and according to the man himself, it's been pretty miserable. Valentine was on the air with WEEI on Wednesday, and people should really know better than to poke the bear. The host asked him if he had 'checked out' on this season, to which Valentine took offense too. Here is his response.

If I were there right now, I'd punch you right in the mouth. Ha, ha. How's that sound? Sound like I checked out? What an embarrassing thing.

2012 hasn't been pretty for the Red Sox. They just finished up a nine game road trip, where they only won one game. They are in second to last place in the division, and 12 games below .500. Valentine said that after a loss, he is miserable. You can bet that he's felt that way a lot this year.
