The 2012 season for the Boston Red Sox was something that they will want to learn from and forget. Now, Sox ownership says resigning aging slugger David Ortiz is a 'priority'. David Ortiz is 36 years old, and approaching the end of his career. He wants a multi year deal with the Boston Red Sox, to finish out his last years. The question is, will the Sox step up to the plate for Big Papi?

Ortiz had a promising season before getting injured and missed the last 70 games. The Red Sox could really use his bat, especially since they lost both Kevin Youkilis and Adrian Gonzalez.
