Human Barbie Doll Hopes To Live Without Water Or Food

On one hand, some folks like to live their lives as members of Raelism, a UFO cult who really believe life on earth was formed in scientific labs by extraterrestrials.

Then, on the other hand, there's the Sect of the Gadget Hackwrench, who believe a Disney cartoon character is a 'divine being'.

Somewhere in between is Ukranian model and a real-life Barbie, Valeria Lukyanova, who starves herself and uses plastic surgery and Photoshop to create her Barbie-like image. Only it might be killing her slowly. The controversial model has stopped consuming water and food and hopes to sustain life "on air and light alone."

There's a website that links a New Age practice known as Breatharianism, where followers neither eat or drink, believing they can exist solely on "cosmic micro-food."

Lukyanova says she's been in contact 'transdimensional beings' but Jezebel.com claims the model is starving herself just to maintain her dollish figure.
