A Raynham man is facing drunken driving charges after police say they found him asleep behind the wheel of his stationary car at a red light at a busy Route 44 intersection.

Ronald Kolozie was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday to charges of operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of motor vehicle.

Police received several calls Sunday from motorists saying traffic was driving around a stopped vehicle.

Officers say his doors were locked and windows up, and they had to yell, use an air horn and knock on the windows before the 24-year-old Kolozie and a sleeping passenger awoke.

Police say Kolozie failed several field sobriety tests.

His lawyer tells The Taunton Daily Gazette he has no comment.
