The wind and rain didn't stop flocks of people from venturing out in New Bedford last night for AHA! Night.

The New Bedford Whaling Museum hosted a lecture on the historic architecture of the city, the Seaman's Bethel hosted a sampling of food and recipes from the 1850's, and the Zeiterion Theatre presented the Summer Sizzle Block Party featuring 80's music and a Cyndi Lauper look-a-like contest.

There was dancing in the street despite the dreary weather to the greatest hits of the 80's and two tickets to the Cyndi Lauper show at the Z were given to the most impressive Lauper-a-like.

AHA! Nights are FREE every second Thursday of the month from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. and are dedicated to invigorating the cultural scene of New Bedford and providing a space to explore local artists, groups, and programs. Join in the fun next on July 11, 2013.
