Radio Stations Raise Funds For Pediatric Programs

A financial boost for pediatric programs at Southcoast Health Systems. Radiothons staged Friday by WBSM and Fun 107 at St. Lukes Hospital, raised a total of $21,000 in donations. Hospital officials say the goal was $10,000.

As part of their pediatric services to children and families, Southcoast has recently begun an affiliation with Children's Hospital in Boston, with their doctors physically present in Southcoast Hospitals everyday.  Obstetrician Dr. Patrick Nugent welcomes their assistance....

All the money raised on Friday stays right in the community. Hosapital officials say the donations will help create a long-term healthcare structure that will assist the region's young people for years to come.
