Townsquare Media New Bedford is committed to serving the Southcoast community. Being a partner in helping to strengthen our community is a key component of the Townsquare Media mission. With the changing media landscape, we are offering charities, schools, non-profits, and other local organizations some new opportunities to publicize events.

The long form, on-air interview has become a less attractive fit for today's audiences who live in a 140 character world. A more effective approach for your organization is sprinkling shorter, more succinct messages in between regular programming. These messages will air multiple times throughout the course of the two weeks leading up to your event.

Townsquare Media New Bedford will begin implementing this new policy immediately.

Organizations that wish to have messages aired on Fun 107 should send the “who, what, when, where, why” bullet points of their event to: Christine Fox at fox@fun107.com. For WBSM, those emails should be sent to news@wbsm.com. Please include any photos (horizontal preferred) that could be used for a blog on fun107.com or wbsm.com. Photos will be used at the discretion of the Digital Managing Editor, the Operations Manager, or the Market President. Sending photos does not ensure the event will appear on the websites.

Townsquare Media New Bedford explicitly prohibits the promotion of online-based crowd-funding sites like GoFundMe and Kickstarter accounts. TSM will continue to support and focus its efforts on local, community-based fundraising events.

It is our belief that the above guidelines will better serve Southcoast organizations to more effectively promote their events.

Please contact Michael Rock, TSM New Bedford Operations Manager, with any questions at rock@fun107.com or (508) 999-6690.
