One School Committee member feels the Superintendent of New Bedford School's decisions are justifiable when it comes to turning the high school around.

Making her comments on WBSM's "Mid-Day Live", Marlene Pollock says with New Bedford High School's underperforming status, removing key administrators was not going to make as much of a difference as the removal of 29% of the teachers, which is what Superintendent Dr. Pia Durkin has opted to do.

Pollock says she fully supports the superintendent's actions as the turnaround plan is implemented.

Pollock says she hopes the changes being put in place by Dr. Durkin make a noticable difference in turning around New Bedford schools. She feels, however, that it will be a few years before results are anywhere near where concerned parties want them to be.
