Police in Boston are working to link former NFL player Aaron Hernandez to a pair of unsolved murders in 2012.

The "Boston Globe" says new court documents released today request permission to search an SUV that police believe was used in the drive-by shooting of two men.  The vehicle was found at the Connecticut home of Hernandez's uncle.

A newly unsealed search warrant cites "probable cause" that Hernandez was driving the vehicle used in the 2012 homicides and may have even been the shooter.

Hernandez remains jailed at the House of Correction in Dartmouth, pending trial for the June murder of Odin LLoyd.  (Metro Networks Inc.)
