Police Release Photo Of Bank Robbery Suspect

New Bedford Police are investigating a late afternoon bank robbery at Rockdale Avenue and Allen Street on Thursday. 

Police say a man wearing a mask and brandishing what appeared to be a weapon, entered the Santandar bank branch around 5:30pm and demanded cash from a female teller.  According to Police, the man left with a bag of money running in a southerly direction across Allen St. No one was hurt. 

He’s described as a tall thin white male around 5 foot 10 to 6 feet tall with blue greenish eyes. .  Police have released a photo of the suspect from the bank security system (above).  

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Michael Carrier at 508-991-6300 ext 114.
