Police: Murder-Suicide In Pawtucket Apartment

Pawtucket police say a Massachusetts man shot his way into an apartment in the city, killed the resident and then shot and killed himself.

Maj. Arthur Martins tells The Providence Journal that 43-year-old Robert Amado, of Carver, Massachusetts, attacked 45-year-old Timothy Robillard on Monday night after spying through the man's bedroom window. Amado saw his ex-girlfriend with Robillard.

Police say he the then shot through the window, forced his way through it and shot Robillard multiple times. The woman ran away, and Martins says Amado then fatally shot himself.

The woman is from Westport, Massachusetts. Police said she was not injured. They did not release her name.
