New Bedford Police are investigating two break-ins into businesses in the city’s North End.

According to Det. Capt. Steve Vicente, officers responded just after midnight to an alarm at Advanced Auto Parts on Mount Pleasant Street.  They found a front door shattered and an unknown amount of merchandise taken.

Two hours later, officers responded to an alarm at the Cumberland Farms store at 2012 Acushnet Avenue.

Officers there also found the front door smashed.  Merchandise was also taken.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Scott Brown at 508 991-6300, ext 131.
