D-A’s Office Identifies Homocide Victim

The District Attorney's office says local and state police are now involved in a homocide investigation. 

D-A spokesman Greg Miliote says New Bedford Police received a 9-11 call shortly ater 3am, saying a man had been shot inside a home at 25 Austin Street. 

Police and emergency personnel rushed to the scene and took 29 year old Scott Souza to St. Lukes Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  Souza lived at the Austin St. address.
