A Fairhaven man is arrested in the town after police observe behavior consistent with drug dealing.

Sgt. Kevin Kobza says detectives watched the 26-year-old man as he entered the passenger side of a vehicle in the area of Middle and Spring Streets Monday afternoon. The vehicle drove around the block and returned less than a minute later to a spot not too far from where the man was picked up.

Police moved in on the man after he exited the vehicle, and found him in possession of about two grams of crack cocaine.

The man, identified as Jonathan Angers of Fairhaven, was charged with possession of crack cocaine and has been arraigned in New Bedford District Court. He was also wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for violating a New Bedford city ordinance.
