FALL RIVER - Authorities say a man led police on a chase from Massachusetts to Rhode Island, striking two police cruisers in the process.

Authorities say Bryan Figueroa, 20, of Fall River smashed the glass front door of the Fall River Police Station at around 7:15 p.m. Saturday night before fleeing.

Fall River Police were able to get a partial read of Figueroa's license plate, sharing it with nearby police departments.

Figueroa was soon located in his Jeep, leading several local police departments on a chase. During the chase, Figueroa struck a police cruiser in Seekonk and continued to flee before crashing into another Seekonk cruiser in East Providence. The police officers involved in the crash were not injured.

Figueroa has been arrested and charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless driving and a fugitive from justice charge.

East Providence Police say while he was in custody in the East Providence Police Station, Figueroa flooded the jail cell by clogging the toilet with a paper cup.

He is expected in court Monday.
