New Bedford Police arrest a Fairhaven man in connection with a string of weekend robberies.

Saturday night two men walked into Muldoons Mini Mart in the North End and stole an undetermined amount of money.

Sunday morning at 6:15, two men matching the same description as the Muldoon robbers attempted to stick up Supreme Donuts on Rockdale Avenue but they were chased out of the store by the owner.

Shortly thereafter Cumberland Farms on Rockdale Ave. was robbed at knifepoint as cash and cigarettes were stolen.

Police observed a car operating at a high rate of speed and pursued the vehicle northbound on Route 18 when it struck a light pole on Holly street and then finally came to a stop when it hit a cement pillar at the corner of Tallman Street and Acushnet Avenue .

Three men fled the vehicle.  Police chased down one suspect, 32 year old Corey Henry of Fairhaven. He faces numerous robbery charges in New Bedford District Court.

Police also determined that the vehilce was stolen. Two other suspects remain at large.
