Police have made an arrest in connection with an unarmed robbery last week at the Downtown bus terminal.

Police say 28-year-old Torey Gomes of New Bedford was arrested Monday and charged with unarmed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police say Gomes and another man approached a man at the SERTA bus terminal early Thursday, asking for money. When the man said no, he was punched by both men and knocked to the ground. They stole his cell phone and wallet and ran off.

According to the Standard Times, police are still searching for a second man, a black male around 6'2" and weighing about 240 lbs.  Anyone with information should call New Bedford Detectives.
