New Bedford Police say a 14 year old alternative high school student will be arraigned Thursday on charges of disturbing a school assembly and making threats.

Police say the student sent an e-mail to authorities Wednesday morning, saying bombs had been placed at both New Bedford High School and the Whaling City Alternative School on County Street.

Police responded to both locations, but found nothing.  Det. Captain Steve Vicente tells WBSM News, the threat also contained a demand for $10,000...

Police traced the student through his Yahoo e-mail account.

Police say the student was also caught by a teacher looking up bomb making material on the teachers laptop.
