Poetry Slammers Wanted For Coffeehouse In February

Your Theatre, Inc. is asking for poets to showcase their skills at a coffeehouse on Saturday, February 6, at 7:30pm. The coffeehouse will open at 7pm, which will be the time the audience may enjoy dessert and coffee or tea.

Participating poets will have the opportunity to read from their published works and some will perform their creations in a poetry performance competition known as a Poetry Slam.

According to South Coast Today.com, local published poets who will read at the event include, Everett Hoagland, BJ Nooth, Susan Grace and Catherine McLaughlin.

Poets who would like to participate as slammers must register with Your Theatre Inc. Positions are limited.

The presentation will be held at Your Theatre, Inc. Playhouse located at 136 Rivet Street (corner of County Street), New Bedford, at the St. Martin's Episcopal Church complex. Parking is free off County Street.
