Pizza Delivery Driver Robbed in Downtown New Bedford

A female pizza delivery driver for Sarducci's Pizza was robbed at knife point early Thursday morning in downtown New Bedford.

She was returning to the business around 1 am when she was approached by a black male at Spring and Pleasant Streets who asked her for a dollar and as she pulled out her money, the suspect displayed a silver handled knife and robbed her of an undisclosed amount of cash.

She was un-harmed. Police are looking for the suspect who the driver says was between 20 and 30 years old with acne on his face. He was last seen running westerly towards County Street wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and dark blue jeans. Anyone with info should call New Bedford Police at 508-991-6300 ext 148.
