I'm sure it happens where you work, and it always seems to happen on a day when you have a lot of work to do. The day you are trying to be productive, trying to get things done! Of course I'm talking about the dreaded OFFICE MACHINE BREAKDOWN!

I was having just that type of day Wednesday. I wasn't upset that I had a lot of work to do, I was actually having fun. I was getting it done. I was staying on time. Then, I walked to the common area where we share a printer and found two or three people gathered around the printer--- waiting. And we waited. The printer was apparently "confused." After waiting a few minutes, someone decided it was time to reboot, and that's what we did. Moments later, our projects began to print and life returned to normal.

Once again, the machines won. They proved their power to control our lives and determine the order of events in our workday.
