I'm sure you have seen those commercials with Sarah McLachlan asking you to protect animals from neglect and abuse. Well now is your chance to do just that at the fun filled Coalition for Animals 14th Annual Pet Fest and Walk for Animals being held in Buttonwood Park this Sunday, May 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During this event, you'll see everything from sheep herding to a doggie fashion show. you'll also get to meet New England reptiles and raptor birds of prey, watch police K-9 demos and learn great tips and tricks on how to train your dog.

Forever Paws will set up their puppy kissing booth and you can purchase pet ID tags from Mellisa's Pet Depot. Hidden Brook Veterinary Services will also offer nail trims for only $5 and will have free raffles including an Alex and Ani dog paw bracelet. All proceeds from the event go toward helping animals.

Our very own Jack Peterson will emcee the event along with his dog Chloe. Music will be provided by Dave Antunes Sound Co.
