A Pennsylvania state lawmaker wants to ban body sprays and perfumes with strong fragrances inside schools.

State Rep. Marcia Hahm hopes to introduce the Fragrance Free Schools Act during the upcoming session, and she says the motivation is health-related. A student in Hahm's district was hospitalized twice because of a severe allergic reaction to Axe Body Spray, despite a call from the principal for students to voluntarily stop wearing strong fragrances.

Hahm says that even if the measure doesn't pass, she hopes it will start a conversation that helps protect those with fragrance allergies.
