My imagination is running wild at what President Trump might do for the State of the Union now that Queen Nancy has pulled the plug on the traditional speech before a joint session of Congress.

You know Trump will do a speech, and it will be a doozy.

There is speculation that Trump could deliver the speech from the Senate chamber or from the southern border, since his current feud with Madame Speaker is centered on border security. Neither venue would rise to the occasion.

I think Trump should deliver his speech at an old fashioned campaign-style rally. He is so good in that format. Have a tailgate party and serve burgers and fries. Make sure there are cornhole tournaments, country music and face painting for the kids. And flags, lots of flags.

There is no guarantee that the media will carry the event live, but they will cover it and they will trash it, and by doing so will openly trash American values—including the strong belief by most American citizens that there is a security crisis at the border. Trump does well when the media trashes him and American values. It always backfires on them.

Trump is the master at these things and will not be defeated by the likes of Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi will lose this battle and Trump will get his way. If she had any sense at all, Pelosi would surrender now and move on. Get this whole fiasco behind her.

The last thing Democrats want or need right now as they move towards next year's election cycle is an elongated confrontation that forces them to defend an open border and lax security. Pelosi should listen to her good friend Cher and "give Trump his f*cking wall" and "don't die on this hill."
