Pediatricians will soon be telling parents to read out loud to their babies every day. The American Academy of Pediatrics issued that new policy on Tuesday.

Experts now believe the most important part of brain development occurs within the first three years of a child's life. Doctors say consistency reading to children at a very young age greatly enhances their vocabulary and other important communication skills.
