It's been rumored for months and we talked about it on the air, but it's official now. The Pawtucket Red Sox have been officially sold! A Sunday news report, according to the Boston Globe, said the deal has been made and the sale of the team will go to a group that will include the Boston Red Sox as a minority stakeholder. The Globe cited multiple baseball industry sources confirming this news.

One of the biggest concerns is the possibility of the PawSox moving out of their present location in Rhode Island. The Pawtucket City Council wants to meet with the new owners, who ever they are, to convince them to stay at McCoy Stadium. Local families and businesses say it will be a major blow to the fans and to the local economy. An official announcement will be made Monday, February 23, 2015.

Where would you like to see the team go?
