Terrelle Pryor, who once was viewed as a top collegiate quarterback during his time at Ohio State, has reportedly worked out for the New England Patriots.

According to a Pro Football Talk report the Patriots recently brought in the quarterback-turned-receiver for a work out though a deal does not seem likely at this point.

After dealing with eligibility issues in college, and ultimately leaving OSU in 2011, Pryor was selected in the third round of the 2011 NFL Supplemental by the Raiders.

Though the Raiders attempted to use Pryor as a quarterback his time there was unsuccessful. He went on to make brief stops with the three other teams before winding up with the Cleveland Browns as a wide receiver to start this year.

After a quiet preseason with Cleveland that included a full time position transition, Pryor was cut as the roster was trimmed to 53 men.

New England could potentially be a fit for the 6-4 athlete as they've long been a place for potential reclamation projects, looking for a final shot to succeed in the league.

Only time will tell whether or not the Pats take a flier on Pryor, but his physical make up and a lack of depth for the team could result in a deal. It wouldn't be the first time New England tries to transform a former quarterback into a wide receiver.
