The New England Patriots were given two compensatory picks in the upcoming 2017 draft, Friday.

According to a CBS Boston report, the league announced its list of compensatory picks Friday and the Pats were awarded an extra fifth round selection to compensate for the loss of a couple of players in free agency last season.

New England will also receive a third round compensatory pick, which was originally allocated to the Cleveland Browns. The Pats will end up with the pick, as compensation for their mid-season trade with the Browns that surprisingly sent linebacker Jamie Collins to Cleveland.

With the draft set for April and the combine around the corner, the Pats now have a couple more picks they must be ready to make in a few months.
