Rob Gronkowski's little brother Glenn is no longer a part of the Patriots' organization.

The younger Gronkowski was released from his second stint on the team's practice squad, Monday, as they cleared space to add linebacker Trevor Bates.

Bates, who was drafted out of Maine in the seventh round of this year's draft, spent time on both the practice squad and 53-man roster of the Indianapolis Colts earlier this season. The rookie should ass depth to a thin linebacking corps that has seen injuries and trades chip away at its numbers over the past few weeks.

For Gronkowski, he'll, once again, hit the open market. There is always a chance that the Pats bring the rookie fullback back in at some point, as he has been with the team twice already and clearly has familial ties to the organization.
