Before the New England Patriots take the field on Sunday, the team is prepared to honor the victims and families affected by the Newtown, CT shootings.

Before The Patriots Sunday night game against the San Francisco 49ers, the team will light 26 white flares to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.

The team will also be wearing the above logo on their helmets to honor the victims as well.

According to ESPN, the New York Giants will also honor the victims by having S.H.E.S (Sandy Hook Elementary School) written on their helmets. Tom Coughlin held a a moment of silence at the hotel wear the team is staying in Atlanta, and he said many of the players were visibly moved.
